The Bird's Nest

Hello everyone!
The spay/neuter clinic was a great success over the weekend. 12 cats were sterilized and vaccinated. They are now up to 91 cats TNRed this year!! 5 of the females are staying in our foster room for the post op, but we aren't allowed in there. They are able to do more cats with the help of a PetSmart Charities grant! The grant will help fund the spay/neuter of 250 cats in two years. We wanted to show you the nest in our garage. Isn't it beautiful? Not sure what kind of bird it is, but there are 3 eggs and it was built in a quilt on top of the man's racing motor.

What a successful spay/neuter weekend! Hurrah! and that grant from PetSmart is FABULOUS!

That's a cool nest, btw. We had one a few years ago in a hanging planter, little house finches, and our human took lots of pics of the eggs and the little babies. We hope we'll see pics of "your" baby birds too!

Oh won't it be fun to watch the birds hatch and grow....hopefully the man servant doesn't need his 'stuff' any time soon,

What a beautiful little birdie nest. Don't show Jonesie where it is...she's a good cat, but she might do those birdies harm.

Wow! Great news about the successes. How did birds get there? Ours just go for our eves--we've never gotten to see the real nests (only in the winter when they are abandoned.)

Excellent work at the clinic! And bless you for doing your part in helping post-op.

Wow, that's quite some nest! Now the only question is, where's the mama?

Wow! We are impressed with the success of the TNR group. We have a huge feral cat population in Las Vegas...wish there were more groups here. Mommy & Daddy can only take in so many kitties.
Felix went to the vet, when he's finished sulking he'll post...probably later today.

What a strange place for that bird family to make a nest! Maybe they think the babies will be safe from cats there. ;-)

Also, congratulations on the spay/ neuter clinic! That is great news!

So glad to hear about work Petsmart Charities helps with. Sometimes you wonder where the money goes.
Birds can find the strangest places to build a nest. Had to make sense to the bird, feel safe, etc.
