Maizy and Ferris went to the vet yesterday to get their exams and vaccinations. They weren't too happy about it, and Maizy sang the whole way there. You can see by Ferris' expression that he was not amused to be catnapped, stuffed in a carrier and subjected to pokes and prods from from a man in scrubs.
Last year, Ferris weighed in at 16 lbs and Maizy at 13 lbs. The vet said they could both stand to loose a little weight. He was more than thrilled to find they had both dropped 3 lbs on their diet! Teeth, eyes, ears, heart and lungs.....all good! They are both good for another year.

Hurray! Our V.E.T said we were both 'chubby' and that we needed to lose weight. I hope we do as well as you guys. Glad it all went well for you.

WHat is your diet secret? We have not lost any on ours!
Great vet check ups.... Madi is due for that late July and this year they have threatened to take a Senior Blood Panel which they do at 8. Madi was not amused.

We're so glad to hear that you got a good report from the V.E.T.! And many congratulations on losing 3 pounds each! Our vet would be ecstatic if some of us would to that (not naming any names, of course!)
P.S. We would like to know your diet secret too. (the problem around here, of course, is that when the cats go on a diet, Franklin loses weight and the other two don't)

Maizy and Ferris need to give Lucky some diet tips! He's 14 pounds of blubber. When he lies down, it looks like a puddle of fur.

I know the vet is not fun, but thank goodness all went well.
After Gypsy's visit with the new holistic visiting vet (don't know if you saw the post on that), he switched to better food. Loved the wet; went on a hunger strike for the dry. I'm amazed he was eating so much dry before, because he dropped weight! And he sort of needed to it. The vet said he had a big frame (like his people mom, though she was kind enough not to say that!) and didn't say to lose -- but he really needed to and I think she knew it! (He was about 14 or so.)
Maizy and Ferris: Going to the V-E-T stinks, but we are glad you both got a clean bill of health! Great job on the weight loss, too! :)
Ooh, the V-E-T... We hate that visit. But we are months away from it and we are both great healthy, so its OK.
