Can You Stand It?!

Yep, that's our girl bunny kicking a raffia ball! I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it is to see her put her guard down and relax enough to play. It seems like such a simple thing, a cat playing with a ball...... but, this is only the second time (the first time was the night before) I have ever seen her play. It really is the little things that mean so much.

Gretchen has been here since May 6 and not too long ago wouldn't even come near the porch or steps if we were outside. If she saw us watching her eat through the window, she would take off into the darkness. She always had such fear in her eyes. You probably can't tell because of the high beam lasers, but here she has "crazy eyes," the kind kitties get when they are so silly, kicking the stuffing out of a toy. It's a beautiful thing :)

That is so great! Our mom had a shy stray once years before us who came around little by little too. To see her build trust was a daily little miracle.
