Freak On A Leash

Ahhhh! Fresh air and sunshine! Everything was perfect, except the fact that the lady had me on a short leash. What's that about? Can I not be trusted?I had my eye on a delicious birdie, but every time I tried to run after him I couldn't get farther than 10 feet! Darn leash! It was totally ruining my game!
How am I supposed to get any hunting done when you have the leash attached to your belt loop, woman?
This is my "hey lady, hows about takin' this ridiculous leash offa me so I can catch some birds" look.
The look didn't work and I'm so over it. Let me back in cause it looks like Ferris is ready to come out. Once he realizes he will be on a short leash, he may change his mind!

We were abandoned on Saturday for the lady's bff's wedding. There was cake, but it was not made of nip. They did not shower us with gifts when they decided to roll in at 12:30 am Sunday morning. The servants are lame.

Maya...I'm with you! I can only go out on a leash too...which cramps my style! We mancats need our freedom outside, don't they know???

I only tried going out on the leash once. It didn't end well. My humans and I are scared to try it again!

Have you tried gnawing your way through..maybe when she's not looking?

Maya, tell your peeples to gets you a longer leash! My Dante has one that is 40 feet long and he can wander and even chase squirrels, but he can't go on the street (that's a good thing)!

My mom is thinking about getting me a leash. It's the only way I'm going to get any time in my very own yard...something about me being too innocent. Talk about not fair...almost everyone else gets to go outside! I really should protest more. Maya, maybe you can get your human to hunt with you, tag team style?

Look at it this way, Maya - at least you got outside!

We hope your servants had fun at the wedding! Lame or not, they need to be entertained at times too.

Deli and Mom thank you for the birthday wishes!

That is the only way I am allowed to go outside as I have a "wandering" nature.

We get out of our leashes - we are sneaky cats so mom won't let us out on one anymore. She is afraid we will run off. We do have a big screen porch to go on. You are lukcy - leash and all!

I don't think is is a matter of trusting you, but not trusting every one and thing outside. Mom just wants you safe!

It looks like you were quite well behaved on the leash, even though it was frustrating. Mom says she doesn't think we would cope too well with that.

You look really beautiful in the sun, too!

I think it's amazing you even walked on a leash to begin with. I totally hate being on a leash, and I will simply sit down outside and not move. Leashes are for dogs!

I'm a leash walking cat at home - in the country we've got our enclosed yards. I enjoy it very much. Got pictures on my blog today.

The color of your harness is very flattering against the ginger...

Maybe you should just pretend that you have your bean on a leash. It will set better in your mind.

I have to be on a harness & leash too.
Sometimes I even get staked out on a tether in the yard like a d-o-g!

Maya, you are stylin' in that leash. Even though you look a little crabilated to be wearing it, it looks very manly.

Poor Maya! We are free to roam outside and hunt as we wish but only during the daytime when there are no foxes out! We wish you could catch something like your panther instincts tell you to!

I feel your pain being outside on a leash!! Meowm did that to me and it annoyed me so much I slipped out of my collar and ran! When Meowm finally found me she said we weren't going outside anymore.....and she has kept her word. :( Now I keep hearing the word stroller.....one can hope!

We have never been on a leash and probably wouldn't like it, A leash is better than having to stay inside though. Mum says we are good boys cuz we walk around the fields with her and never run off. When it is time to go back, we come when she calls us.

A cat on a leash? Hmm, we go in and out as we please. And waken up the humans at 4Am for an early breakfast if we're hungry!

You look very handsome in the leash! Just pretend that you have your servant on a leash!

Hmm..I've been thinking of trying Coal on a leash. I think I already have one, but he's a sneaky boy and will probably get out of it. We'll have to practice inside. He loves going out (me holding him) and looking at birds. He drools over them!

Lucky was sneaky and got out today for a few hours. I thought he was hiding inside. It's the first time he's been outside in six years! Luckily, he came when I called him.

Mom has been letting me out without a leash lately, but she sticks so close to me, I can't do anything, and then after about 10 steps, she picks me up and carries me the rest of the time. I know the frustration you must be feeling.

I haven't been on a leash. I just get freaked out being held or picked up. Mom won't let me go out! You look nice!

We hafta have leashes too - 'cos mom says it's safer. So we understand how you feel!

Poppy Q said...

Maya you look very glam outside in the sunshines. Leashes always make my mum laugh, as she has never seen a real cat on a leash. I can come and go outside as I like and I never run away.

Maya does look fairly annoyed with the whole thing -- priceless!
