It's Alright

The lady has really been missing Cal a lot lately, which is to be expected. We really think she tries to repress memories to keep from crying. We've told her that isn't very healthy, but she doesn't listen to us --well what are we gonna do, we're cats!

Well, her new blogger friend Shelly did such a wonderful thing for her. Shelly put a memorial of Cal on the Critters Pet Memorial site. Shelly has a page for her beloved pets who have gone to the bridge and she added Cal as a friend. When the lady saw Cal and the wonderful things written, she was so surprised. The memorial really helped her to find comfort and peace. Not to mention, she cried like a baby! She is so thankful that she has a place to visit Cal. Thank you for your kindness, Shelly!

Interesting story......Cal left for the bridge around 9:00am the morning of March 26, that afternoon around 6:00pm the lady and her mom did their 4 mile walk around the neighborhoods. The lady was avoiding being in the house as much as possible, so the walk was good for her that day. She has done this walk many times, but do you know what she saw this particular day? A black cat walking through the grass. She pretty much knows all the cats in the neighborhood, and this one didn't belong. She had never seen the cat before and has never seen it since. And trust us, she looks for it every day she goes walking. A friend of hers said it was Cal transitioning and she totally believes that. He probably just had to make sure she was going to be alright.

Sweet Leaf

We've got fresh cat nip and mint! The lady potted them for us over the weekend. She read about a very cool cat herb garden in a magazine, but since we can't go outside..... she wanted to make us an indoor container garden. She is still on the lookout for cat mint, valerian, and cat thyme. She can't seem to find any where we live.
Every morning she has to clean up little pieces of the leaves where we have nommed them all over the table during the night. We have cat nip parties and sometimes we get a little rowdy...hehehe!
She laughed when she saw the label on our cat nip....... "non-addictive." :-)

Purple Haze - Swap N Tails

Last month we participated in Swap N Tails again!! The color of the month was PURPLE. We received some very cool purple mice and treats from Mr. Hendrix.

The purple mousies are great and lots of fun to whap around!

Also in the package was a magnetic note pad for the fridge and a very cute journal. This will definitely come in handy since the lady has become increasingly forgetful lately and losing things..... like her mind.

He even sent Dixie Dog a bag of treats. They are "guilt-free" so she can be spoiled more often! We think she's spoiled enough..... just sayin'.

Wooly Bully

We were so excited when our package arrived from SuppliesJust4Pets!

Chief Kit, Baby Patches always takes good care of us when we order and we are very pleased with our purchases! We got 2 Yeowww Catnip Pillows and a Zoom Groom! Yes, we finally stepped out of the dark ages and got a Zoom Groom and it's awesome!

Look at all that floof! And that's only half of it..... the other half is still flying around the front yard. We moved the grooming session to the front porch to enjoy the plentiful sunshine. Our coats look so shiny and healthy now! Chevelle looks like she's been sanded down and given a fresh coat of gloss black!

We all really enjoyed getting groomed with the Zoom Groom...... well, all of us except Maggie May. She refused to have any of her pretty calico floof stolen. Maggie May doesn't enjoy getting brushed and puts the bitey on the lady's hands when she tries. She doesn't like the back half of her body to be touched. Maybe it has something to do with her legs still being sensitive or maybe she's just sassy?

Dixie received a special treat........ an Endlessky Braided Bully Stick! Boy, was Dixie excited! We think it might just be her new favorite treat! She gives it two paws waaaay up! Bully Sticks are 100% digestible beef with no by-products!

Yesterday we ordered a Plaque Ratsie. We had to have it after seeing so many good reviews on other blogs!
