Watching Irene

Hi friends....been a while! Just wanted to check in and say we have all eyes on Hurricane Irene. As of right now (2pm advisory) Irene is predicted to become a major hurricane with winds higher than 111mph and may make landfall Saturday somewhere over Eastern NC which includes our little house on the creek as indicated by the starfish. Preparations have already begun at our house to assure we are ready for whatever Irene brings. Hopefully, a whole lotta nothing! I'll do my best to keep everyone posted!
UDATE: And I just felt my first earthquake....CRAZY!!!!

We're crossing our paws that Irene is a whole lot of nothing for you too. Purrs and purrayers, be safe.

BTW, parts of Ontario and even into New Brunswick apparently felt the earthquake as well, but our mom didn't notice a thing, don't think our area in eastern Ontario was affected.

I was wondering if you felt that quake. They say people up here in Maine felt it (not me)

I hope you get a whole lot of nothing with Irene.. but I do need to temper that with, I hope she doesn't come up here either!!

It seems like a lot of my kitty blogging pals are in the path of Irene and/ or felt the quake! Make sure to let us know that you are okay as the hurricane passes by - we are thinking of you!

We felt the quake here in Chapel Hill too...we thought maybe it was people walking on the roof at first!

Hope Irene blows on by with just a bit of rain, that we could all use.

We understand your concerns. We had been worrying about Irene (and are still keeping an eye out -- but we just moved out the "cone") We pray that Irene will continue to move eastward and not bother anyone! Stay safe.

We hope Irene steers clear of you. We've been watching her but it looks like she will be way east of us. The earthquake really surprised us!!

Stay safe furriends. Do you have a generator, shutters, batteries???

We're sending purrs that Irene passes by without any damage to anything or anyone at the Creek House! We hope the earth doesn't quake any more over there either!
