***Update on Cal***Cal's lady servant/mom here! Cal went to the vet yesterday for a check up for his IBD. Since his last appointment in November, just two months ago, he has lost a whole pound. Cal now weighs in at 9.5 lbs. He was a tad dehydrated so the vet gave him some fluids. In addition to his once a day dosage of prednisilone, she added a probiotic called Fortiflora. This probiotic will help with his digestive issues, like diarrhea. His food has been switched to Science Diet R/D for the high fiber content. I am not a huge fan of SD, however, I am a huge fan of him eating and gaining weight. He loves his new food (at the moment) and doesn't even notice the probiotic that I mix in. He also had to have his anal glands expressed, which he did not like one bit!
This morning Cal seems to be doing great. He is eating and his stool was normal this morning with zero blood. I feel we are getting back on track. The vet requested we drop into the office in about 2 weeks or so for a weight check. We pray he will have gained some by then!
***Update on Pop***
Pop is scheduled to be released from the hospital today. Yesterday, the doctors installed a picc line into his right arm. This picc line will be kept in for the next two months as he will be doing at home IV antibiotics. He will do 3 hours in the AM and three hours in the PM everyday for the next 6-8 weeks. We are all hopeful the antibiotics will kill the infection that has settled into his foot bone.
All of us on the creek would like to thank everyone for all the purrs and purrayers so far. You are all so very wonderful! Please continue purring and purraying for both Cal and Pop.
Don't forget to vote for Maggie May!
Thanks to all who have already voted, you guys rock!
***Update***
At 1pm we were notified by Anamigo that Maggie May won $25.00!!!

It sounds like you have a good plan for Cal, and I am glad to hear that he and your Pop are doing better.
When Harley was at his worst, he was sometimes not eating well and regurgitating his foods and lost some weight. We have a baby scale, and now we weigh him every couple of days just to make sure he is not losing.
I'm glad Cal is doing better this morning!
We'll be purring for both Cal and Pop ...
The news about Cal sound very good! We hope he continues to feel like this. Go Cal! Your poor Pop needs a lot of patience and confidence now, but we're sure that with time the inflamation will be battled!
Purrs from us to you,
Siena & Chilli
We will be keeping our paws crossed that Cal gets his IBD straightened out and that he gains some weight back! And also for Pop's infection to go away, eeek, stepping on a nail sounds just awful! Our Momma did that when she was a kid, and said just reading that Pop did it gave her the heeby jeebies!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Concatulations Maggie!!!!!!
We will keep up the purrs for Cal and Pop!
Both Cal and Pop are in our prayers!
Thank you for the updates. We're glad Cal is doing better today, that probiotic could swing things around for him (paws crossed). We're happy your Pop can be at home, that's a tough regime for him. We are sending rumbly purrs and love to both

Congratulations, Maggie May! I am glad that Cal is feeling better and that Pop can continue his treatment at home. I will keep both of them in my prayers.
We're sorry that Cal's IBD has been so tough on him, but we're glad to see that the v-e-t's trying different foods and medicines to help him. We're sending purrs and purrayers to Cal and to your Pop, so that their medicines help them to get better.

Thank you for letting us know :)
We're glad to hear Cal is doing better...we hope he continues to improve...and we'll keep purring for him and Pop!
And congrats to Maggy May! That is pawsome!
I hope the addition of a probiotic and change in diet helps to control Cal's IBD better.
Three hours, twice a day, of IV antibiotics sounds hard for you Pop. Do they send a nurse to do this?
Continued purrs for Cal and Pop to get better.
Sounds like Cal is doing much better, and that is excellent. Hope Pop continues to improve too.
We are glad things are looking up for both Cal and Pop. We aren't sure what it means to get anal glands expressed but we are not fans of anything that does with butts. Unless it's us putting our butts in peoples faces. Oh congrats on the win of green papers. We thought about entering but mom is lazy.

I am so glad Cal is doing better!
We will keep him and Pop in our prayers.
