Meet Paisley!

How's this for formerly feral....
This kitten was from the colony two businesses down from where the servants work. Three of the four kittens were TNR'd at the Halloween clinic last month and their sister Autumn (the fourth kitten) was spayed and then post op'd at our house a few days after. Well, somehow, Paisley ended up almost 2 miles away from her colony and under a house two doors down from the BCCP President. Maybe she pulled a Maggie May and hitched a ride under someone's car hood?

Well, thank goodness she ended up where she did! They've decided to put her in the BCCP foster/adoption program since she is super friendly and would have a great chance of finding a home. The lady is shocked at how friendly she is, concidering her sister, Autumn, bit the tar out of the lady's hand when she was being post op'd here...haha... funny story!

She will not be fostered at our house since our man servant wants to keep all the foster kittens, e.g. Maizy, Ferris, Rambler, Maggie May and Saylor - yeah, all fosters!

Hey, doesn't Paisley look like a mini Ginger or Zoey?

We couldn't find a song title with the word paisley, so we used a Brad Paisley song title instead.

The Message

We thought our family might be expanding again when Sebastian and Reilly's new mom emailed saying they needed to give them back due to the fact that her husband is getting laid off from work soon. We made plans to meet next weekend to pick them up and bring them back home. However, the next day she emailed again saying they'd decided to keep them, they love them and when they adopted them, it was for forever. We are so happy because the boys seem very happy with them and they email me updates weekly. It's just a very scary and uncertain time for their family right now.

Dixie Dog got a new bed over the weekend. Maizy is even letting her sleep in this one a little bit.

We would like to thank our great friend, Marg for this awesome award. Thanks Marg, we will proudly display it in our trophy room!! If you haven't met Marg and her pets yet, please do so. Marg is a fellow rescuer who does wonderful work in her community! We would like to pass this along to all of our friends because we think all of your blogs are the best!

P.S. We have no clue who the new black kitty is. He/she has shown up the past couple of nights and has been eating out of Spunky the neighbor's bowl. We will keep an eye on him/her and see if they need to be TNR'd. Hopefully, it's just an owned cat from another neighborhood, just passing through for a free meal.

Who Let The Dogs Out

Here are some dogs from the Jumble sale on Saturday. They're cute, but not as cute as we are! The BCCP raised $327.00 for the kitties!! YAY!

The "Tootlebug" painting did not find a new forever home at the Jumble sale, so the lady has listed it on her new etsy shop and will donate 50% of the proceeds to BCCP, which equals the same price she put on it at the sale. She has also listed a few other paintings with a portion of the proceeds going to BCCP for TNR.

Into The Groove - Update with correct link!

***Thanks to Jan's Funny Farm for letting us know our raw food link was incorrect. We have now fixed it!***

Well, we've made a little progress with the raw food. I mixed about a teaspoons worth into their Wellness canned food and no one noticed, except Maggie May. She would only eat a tiny bit of the food before turning up her nose and walking off. She's gonna be a tough one!

I am thankful for the help we've gotten from several bloggers who also feed raw. Daisy the Curly Cat and Busby and Raymond have helped to answer some of the questions I've had. Our friend Drew from World's Best Cat Litter was so kind to email me a link to an awesome raw food website, Feline Nutrition Education Society.Tomorrow the BCCP will be participating in a jumble sale at the historical grounds. We'll be selling homemade note cards featuring photographs and artwork from the volunteers. I will also try to sell my newest painting to help the feral kitties get TNR'd! But, if it doesn't sell, I'm sure I can find a spot on my wall for it. Be sure to stop by Maggie May's blog today. She has a great post about the Shelter Pet Project!!!
