Our PetSmart also carries feliway, but the problem with diffusers is the openness of our great room. The ceiling is nearly 30 feet high, so we'd need a lot of those suckers to make any sort of a difference. I do believe in the use of pheromones to help relieve stress, so that's why I gave these pheromone collars a shot. We planned on buying one for each of the three girls, but the store only had two. The two lucky girls are Maizy and Chevelle.
And I was totally shocked that they didn't freak out, considering they've never worn collars before. The price was not too bad, $15.00 each, they are supposed to last 30 days and they have a pleasant lavender scent.As far as efficacy, I'd say they have helped with some of the aggression in both Maizy and Chevelle. Maggie May still hisses and growls anytime she sees them, but they don't seem to want to attack her. When PetSmart gets a new shipment in, we plan on getting one for Maggie May to see if it calms her down. We'll keep everyone posted! It's nice to hear from others who are having the same issues in their home, makes us know we aren't alone in this.
