It Snowed Again!

It snowed again over the weekend. We go years and years without a single snowflake, yet it's snowed 3 times in less than 30 days here. Saturday night was supposed to be the big fundraiser/silent auction/social for the Cat Project that we have been preparing for since September of last year. We set up everything at the venue on Friday night. It broke our hearts to have to cancel on Saturday because of the snow.

We ended up getting about 6" when the forecast was for 1-2". I've seriously had enough! Here are some pics I took at one of our feral colonies. They were very happy to see us and especially happy to see we brought food! I worry so much about all the outdoor kitties and other animals who are out in the cold and snow.

Be sure to check out the great items at the Friends of the CB auction site!!

That's too bad your fundraiser got snowed out. :-( I bet your kitty colony is not too thrilled about the snow either.

So sorry the fundraiser was cancelled. Yes, the snow should stay in the north where people and critters love it.

pawhugs and hoping for a thaw for you,

Good luck rescheduling the fundraiser!

Here we're used to the snow every winter...but we're sick of it all the same!

I'm sorry your fundraiser was cancelled, how frustrating!!! I hope you can find another date to hold it :-)

My heart breaks for kitties outside in the bad weather, at least your feral colony is lucky to have full tummies while they brave the elements. You are so good to look after them!

So sorry about your fundraiser being cancelled. We are purring that you can reschedule and raise tons of money. It breaks our hearts too about kitties out in the snow. It reminds of us of 2 years ago when Nigel was still homeless and uncatchable when we had so much snow here. Good thing we finally caught him.

Sorry that you had to cancel the fundraiser after so much planning and hard work. I didn't realize that was a cat in the second picture! I thought it was snow at first. LOL He better be careful not to get lost in the snow.

We were so surprised to hear about your snow over there on the coast. I worry about my outside guys too but they seem to manage some how. I think the food is the most important thing and some shelter and it sure looks like they have shelter there.Sure sorry about your fundraiser.

I HATE snow, but I would hate it even more if I was a feral kitty who had to live outside in it. That must surely be a rough life.

Sorry the fundraiser got cancelled after you did so much work. Those pictures are lovely but I know they tell a story of kitties out in the cold. I am glad that you are able to feed them and I know they will be so glad to see you. Thank you for what you do.. Hugs GJ xx

We are so sorry to hear that your fundraiser had to be postponed because of the snow. We hate the winter and can't wait for the spring. Thank you for taking care of those kitties without homes.

Glad they came thru OK! Ferals are pretty creative in finding warm shelter - at least it doesn't stay cold and snowy for long on the coast. Mom is having fun with the Cannon Rebel but just trying things out.

I'm so sorry you got snowed out. That's a bummer. Hopefully you can get it made up. You take such good pictures. That white cat is stunning against the snow.
