The Cat-O-Lympics Extreme Climbing

This is our entry for the Cat-O-Lympics Extreme Climbing event, hosted by House of Cats. These pictures were taken last week during the living room remodel. The lady felt sorry for us being locked away all day and decided to give us a chance to come out of jail for a little bit while she and her mom painted.

The lady was standing on the staging, just painting away, when she looked over and saw us, Saylor and Maizy, up on the staging board with her! While she rushed over to get us down, her mom rushed over and grabbed the camera. Don't worry, we weren't skeered and neither of us were hurt during this maneuver! This photo shows the height of our climb. The ladder, while difficult to some cats, was no match for us!We don't know what the fuss was about, we were only trying to help her paint!

It's too bad this photo doesn't show just how much the lady was panicking when Saylor tried to jump from the ladder onto the loft railing. Needless to say, we weren't let out of jail again until the ladders were gone.

ha ha ha You girls rock! That is so cool. . . we can just imagine your mom freaking out. I think you should win the gold because of the naughty twist you put on your climbing!

Marg said...

Well you win. That is fantastic except for giving Mom a nervous breakdown. Our Mom would have been lying down from being so scart for you two kitties. Bet it was great fun though. Good job. That should definitely be a gold medal.

oh my bast- mom would NEVER go up that ladder, and thinking of having to rescue one of us on the ladder gives her tummy twists!!!! She doesn't like heights!

We wanted to participate in it but mom has functions every night hits week and cannot do any extra blogging. I was just on top of the kitchen cabinets...nothing compared to you two.

Why do moms worry so much...we're sure cats were jumping around trees way before humans crawled outta the ocean. Or in the case of ourmom, landed on a ship from planet Crazy.

Cory said...

Nice form!!! You'll get extra points for the degree of difficulty for sure. But inquiring cats want to know...did you manage to get your furs in the paint to purrsonalize their project?

Cliff and Olivia said...

Wow, nice climbing skills :-) You must have had a lot of fun. I love climbing ladders too, and for some reason the Humans always panic just like your lady.

Now that is some great climbing! We sure love ladders. We did the same thing when our house was being painted, but our ladder was only half the height of yours!

We wanted to let you Creek Cats know that we posted our entry for the Synchronized Sleeping event today.

Great extreme climbing! I don't know why the humans were so freaked out... I guess they don't understand because they have terrible jumping skills.
