All I Want For Christmas Is You

Cal's first Christmas, 8 weeks old

Yesterday would have been Cal's 11th Gotcha Day. Since Cal was brought home around Christmastime, it was his favorite holiday of all. He loved tissue paper, bows, boxes, bags and ornaments. I really miss his help wrapping the present this year. It's just not the same without him.

Cal, Christmas 2008

Thanks to Loki for this great award! We will proudly display it in our trophy case!! We would like to pass this award along to all of our great friends!

He was a lovely boy - so sad that he's gone! He was still enjoying the paper and bags last year. So sorry.

He was a very sweet boy who obviously had the Christmas spirit. He's probably watching all the preparations from the Bridge wearing an elf hat.

I'm all teary reading this post, because I know how much you miss Cal and I remember the first Christmas without my Muddy. I just faked my way through the holidays and nothing was the same.
Cal was the best. I loved him without ever having met him. He had a perfect soul and I can see why he's so missed.

You know that we just adored Cal because he reminded us so much of our Lewis who went to the Bridge in Aug. 2008. It's so hard to go on without them, but having those wonderful memories is what gets you through.

We love that photo of Cal in the shopping bag from last year. :) We didn't get a chance know Cal but from all we've heard, he was obviously a wonderful cat. It's hard but good to remember the kitties that have gone on; we know he's keeping an eye on the rest of us.

Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew

I love the first picture of Cal! He reminds me of Coal when he was a baby. I know how you feel....this is the first Christmas without Max. Sometimes I still think I hear his distinctive meow. Pictures are a wonderful to help keep memories alive. I try to put all the energy into loving the ones who are still with me. Christmas Eve will be Snowball's 15th Gotcha Day...I'm so thankful she's still here with us!

Awwwwwww, what a little sweetheart little Cal was. I know around the holidays we always remember those not with us but having him come to you around this time of year makes you remember even more. They leave a big hole in our hearts when our love ones are no longer here. Nice that you had time together and have the memories you two made together.
