Calling Dr. Love

Maizy Grace and Ferris had their yearly exams and vaccinations this morning. Maizy Grace weighed in at 12.8lbs while Ferris tipped the scale at 16lbs! That means we are gonna have to do a little "weight watching." It would probably help if they weren't so lazy.
Anyway, the appointment went very well and Maizy was an absolute sweetheart, rubbing against the vet and tech, but she cried the ENTIRE 30 minute trip to and from the vet's office. They both had yucky ears, even after the lady cleaned them, so we came home with some anti-fungal solution to use 2x per week. Vaccinations tend to make them feel pretty lousy, so they'll sleep pretty much the entire afternoon.

Maizy Grace really like that scale, didn't she!

They are TOO cute! I love that photo of their back ends in the carriers. Hilarious! My Rooney went for his annual visit last week and he had an ear infection too! I was so embarassed because i hadn't noticed. He hates having me put ointment in his ear.
Please give those two precious ones a kiss for me :)!

Lovely vet boxes :)
They sitting so nice in the box,
Kareltje hates it to sit in such a box :(
In our country they don't weigh by the vet,
you must do that at home :)
Have a nice day all

It sounds like you two did good! Rest well, dear friends!

Glad the v-e-t visit went well! But Ferris, you really shouldn't sleep on the scale there...it's just a reminder that they are gonna be watching your weight!

I'm glad you both checked out real good, except for the ear yuckies. I hate getting my ears cleaned!

Love those pics!!!! You could get the rear shot made into a poster and frame it. :)

LOVE that "butts in boxes" photo!!! So funny! Sorry to hear about the ears though, but that should be fairly easy to clear up.

Glad the vet visit went okay, but Ferris, you need to get off those scales. They don't weigh lighter the longer you sit there.

Y'all sure are good at the Vet. My Sister Gracie always curls up in the sink while she's waiting for the doctor.

I'm glad you're glad to have that over with for the year!

Our vet is only down the street and around the corner, probably 2 minutes away. Thank goodness!
Good job at the vet, guys! We know all about the weight watching at our house! Good luck!

We think it's awesome that they are both so "robust"! Ha! My Madison brother is 16 pounds and Nigel is not so very far away at 15+ pounds!

Hope they recover from their shots quickly!

Sunny's Mommy said...

Hey! What's wrong with 16 lbs?! I've been on a die-t and lost a little over a lb. and am now 16.2 lbs., or something like that -- they are starving me! My Mommy sez she'd like me to get down to 15 or 14 lbs. I say HEY! Mommy! Look in the mirror!

You gotta keep the good gravy up!

Well that trauma is over for another year. The vet and tech love me too!

Glad the vet visit went okay. I fuss at my mom the whole way there and back from the vet too.

Samson is almost 16 pounds too (although we think a lot of it might be fur hee hee).

The vet bites but it has to be done! Ferris, you look adorable on the scale!

I can't believe they sat so nicely in their carriers like that! And they are adorable on the vet table - Ferris is so cute on that scale.

Tasha and Dobby both weigh about 12 or 13 pounds too (way too much for Tasha!), but we think they have lost a little weight on Addiction. However, we just tried "Salmon Bleu" today and it was a big hit. Unfortunately, I think it was almost TOO much of a hit :). Will have to see what happens!

We hope you're feeling better after your vaccinations at the v*t!

Wow, they just sit patiently in the carriers, and just sit patiently at the v-e-t's office...we *so* don't do that! MOL

Glad to hear they're mostly okay, other than a little weight issue and ear problems. Hope the afternoon naps refreshed you both!

Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew

Yuck! I hate to diet! My mom keeps telling me I need to!

All in all a good report! Okay, there's the odd weight problem, but with a little more of Plague Ratsie whapping you'll sort it out. Sorry about the yucky ears! Chilli says she has cried the during three hours car trips and will do it again, too. The horror!

Makes me realize how lucky I am that Namerovsky LOVES going places and being in the car.

Alfie always cries in the car too. But he's sweet when he gets there. I don't cry but I get scratch wiv the vet iffens I think he's gonna hurt me.

We are stillvoting for Ferris every day in the surfin-safari (as well as some other friends)!

Very cute kitties.

Your vet visits sound so calm compared to ours - it is always a huge struggle to get them in the carriers and then out again once at the vet! Love the photo of the hind ends in the carriers.

Loki said...

The picture of the carriers is amazing, it would make a nice picture for a postcard or a poster!

Nanny doesn't know if Loki likes the Vet. I should ask his Daddy.

Big hugs,

Loki

Sam and Andy said...

Wow, we just had a lesson on how to enter a carrier.....mom has always had to sit the carrier on end and put us in hind legs first and then close the lid and then put the carrier flat on the floor........we'll have to try your approach!!!!!

Y'all are GRAND.

My Lucky weighs 14 lbs., he's the heaviest. Glad to know that Maizey Grace and Ferris were well-behaved at the vet. In the past, my vet has had to use the "wild animal" gloves or the "kitty straight jacket" for Coal! He's been better the last couple times, but I always dread it. Getting him in the carrier is hard enough. The pic of your two in the carriers is adorable!

Hi, it's good to catch up with the Creek Cats after a bit of a time away from the computer. I didn't know which post to comment on but as soon as The Gypsy's mom saw this, she had to laugh at every photo (and dread the day we make that same visit, sometime very soon... it's never fun...!)
